Window cleaning, inside and out, with the tracks and screens done too
Purified water on the exterior, hand detailing on the interior, and every screen, sill and track handled as part of the job rather than as an upcharge.
Beyond appearance, mineral deposits from sprinklers and runoff will etch permanently into glass if they sit for years, and etched glass can only be replaced. Debris packed into tracks and weep holes also traps water at the sash, which is a slow route to rotted frames on wood windows.

What happens on the day
- Step 01
Count and protect
We count panes, note any cracked or failed seals in writing before we start, and lay down protection on interior floors and sills.
- Step 02
Screens out and washed
Screens are removed, labeled by opening, washed, dried and set aside rather than sprayed in place.
- Step 03
Exterior with purified water
Deionized water through a water-fed pole leaves no mineral residue, so glass dries spot-free without a squeegee ever touching upper-story panes.
- Step 04
Interior by hand
Interior glass is cleaned with a squeegee and detailed by hand at the edges, then frames and sills are wiped down.
- Step 05
Tracks, then reinstall
Tracks are vacuumed and wiped, screens go back into the openings they came from, and we walk the house with you.
How pricing works
Every property is quoted individually after a walkthrough or a set of photos. These are the factors that move a window cleaning quote up or down.
- Number of panes, counted as individual glass surfaces
- Interior and exterior versus exterior only
- Stories and access — third-story dormers and over-roof windows take longer
- Grids, storms and specialty glass that must be detailed by hand
- Hard water staining or post-construction debris needing restoration work
Common questions
What to expect
- Do you need to be home?
- Yes for interior glass, so we can access each room. Exterior-only cleaning does not require you to be home.
- How long it takes
- Most homes take two to four hours depending on the window count.
- How to prepare
- Clear sills and remove fragile items near the windows, unlock rooms we need to enter, and secure pets indoors away from the work area.
Not included in this service
- Scratch removal, glass polishing or hard-water etching that has permanently damaged the pane
- Replacing broken glass, screens or failed seals
- Windows that cannot be reached safely without scaffolding or a lift
- Interior blinds, drapes or sill repair
- Skylights on roofs too steep or fragile to walk
- Do I need to be home?
- For exterior-only service, no. For interior work someone needs to let the crew in, and it helps to clear sills and move furniture away from the larger windows beforehand.
- How is a pane counted?
- Each piece of glass in a frame is a pane. A double-hung window is typically two. Grids that sit on the surface of the glass do not multiply the count; true divided lights do.
- Can you remove hard water spots?
- Often yes, with a separate mineral restoration process. It is a different service than standard cleaning because it takes considerably longer, and severely etched glass cannot be fully recovered.
- What if it rains the next day?
- Clean rain does not spot clean glass — spotting comes from dirt already on the pane. If the windows genuinely look worse within a few days of service, call us and we will come back.
- How often should windows be cleaned?
- Twice a year is the standard for most homes: once in spring and once in fall. Homes near gravel roads, construction or heavy tree drop often want a third visit.
