A three-year holiday lighting program, start to finish
Custom-designed for your property, professionally installed, maintained all season, then taken down and stored — with your rate locked in for three years. You never touch a ladder.
The reason to hire this out is not the look, it is the ladder. Roofline installation in November and December means working at height on cold, often wet surfaces — it is one of the most common sources of serious homeowner injury this time of year.

Install dates book out before Thanksgiving
Scheduling early in the fall is what secures a preferred install date, and January takedown is booked at the same time. 100% satisfaction guaranteed — if something is not right, we come back and correct it.
The program
How the program works
- Step 01
Custom design
A lighting design built for your specific roofline, trees and landscaping, not a one-size package.
- Step 02
Program proposal
One clear proposal covering product, installation, in-season maintenance, takedown and storage.
- Step 03
Professional installation
Commercial-grade lights installed by employee crews on your scheduled date.
- Step 04
In-season maintenance
If a bulb goes out or a section fails during the season, we come fix it. Included.
- Step 05
Takedown and storage
We remove everything in January and store it until next season.
Then it repeats. In years two and three we re-install your lights at your locked-in rate — the design is done, the product is yours, the price doesn't change.
How the pricing works
Year one
You purchase the product and the labor: design, installation, in-season maintenance, takedown and storage.
Years two and three
Labor only. The lights are yours, so the cost drops significantly, and your rate is locked in for the full three years.
Three-year guarantee
The lights themselves are covered for the length of the program. If product fails, we replace it.
Your proposal price is based on your design — footage, stories and the elements you choose.

What we light
Rooflines
Cut to length so the light traces the architecture instead of sagging between clips.
Trees and tree wrapping
Wrapped trunks and lit canopies carry the display after dark, well beyond the house itself.
Bushes and shrubs
Bed lighting fills the space between the roofline and the ground so nothing floats.
Pillars and columns
Wrapped verticals frame the entry and pull the eye to the front door.
Wreaths
Lit wreaths on doors, gables and windows add a focal point at eye level.
Garland
Railings, porches and doorways draped and lit to soften hard edges.

What customers say
“Yesterday, 1 July 2026, was our first experience with Shine's soft wash cleaning, window cleaning, and gutter cleaning (Shine has strung lights on our outdoor Christmas tree for at least the past two years). Zach was the sole worker yesterday, and he performed as though there were four crew members working on our house. We could not be happier with Zach and with Shine of Cincinnati. I will not hesitate a moment in recommending Shine.”
Common questions
What to expect
- Do you need to be home?
- No for install or takedown. We do walk the design with you before the season starts.
- How long it takes
- Most installs take three to six hours in a single visit.
- How to prepare
- Confirm an available exterior outlet, clear the roofline and landscape beds of obstructions, and let us know your preferred display dates.
Not included in this service
- Interior decorating, trees or wreaths inside the home
- Installing customer-supplied big-box light strings
- Electrical work — new outlets, circuits or panel changes
- Inflatables, animated displays or roof-mounted props
- Snow or ice removal to reach an installation area
- What happens after year three?
- We can absolutely keep hanging your lights in year four and beyond — many customers do. The product warranty expires at the end of the three-year program, so any failed product after that is replaced at cost rather than covered.
- Can you install lights I already own?
- Sometimes. If your lights are similar in grade to our product, we can install them — but customer-owned lights carry no warranty, and in-season fixes on them are not included. Most customers move to our commercial-grade product for that reason.
- What if a bulb goes out in the middle of the season?
- Call us. In-season maintenance is part of the program — we come out and fix failed bulbs or sections at no charge.
- Who owns the lights?
- You do, from year one. That's why years two and three are labor only.
- When should I book?
- Install dates fill before Thanksgiving. Booking in early fall secures your preferred date; January takedown is scheduled automatically.
- Is my rate really locked for three years?
- Yes. The program proposal sets your rate for all three years — it does not change season to season.
